Ovrture is a Blackbaud Marketplace certified donor engagement platform that integrates directly with Blackbaud CRM, with Raiser’s Edge NXT integration actively in development. The integration combines personalized cultivation websites, automated stewardship reporting, and session-level engagement analytics in a single system designed for major donor programs at education, healthcare, and cultural institutions. Ovrture has been a Blackbaud partner since 2023.
What Ovrture Adds to the Blackbaud Ecosystem
If you work in advancement, you already know this: Blackbaud CRM is excellent at managing constituent records, processing gifts, and tracking prospects. What it wasn’t built to do is produce the kind of personalized digital content that major donors increasingly expect from the institutions they support.
That’s the gap Ovrture fills—what we call orchestrating the final mile. Your CRM holds the data. Your team holds the stories. But somewhere between those systems and the donor’s actual experience, things break down. Content gets built manually. Reports go out generic. The personalization your data makes possible never quite reaches the person writing the investment in your institution.
Ovrture bridges that gap. Available in the Blackbaud Marketplace, the current integration pulls constituent biographical information and fund data from Blackbaud CRM, then uses that data to power two types of donor-facing content. First, cultivation websites—personalized digital experiences built around a donor’s specific interests and your institutional priorities. Second, stewardship impact reports—individualized fund performance reports tied to each donor’s giving history.
A Raiser’s Edge NXT integration is actively in development and will offer the same capabilities for institutions on that platform.
The integration works in both directions. When a donor opens their microsite or spends time with a stewardship report, Ovrture’s engagement analytics capture that activity at the session level. That data flows back to help gift officers prioritize outreach and shape follow-up conversations based on what actually engaged each donor.
The platform isn’t a CRM replacement. It’s the final mile—the layer that turns your CRM data, your content, and your team’s knowledge into a personalized donor experience, all within a single platform.
How the Blackbaud CRM Integration Works
The integration can be configured to include constituent biographical information (addressee, salutation, email, assigned funds) along with fund financial information. For institutions using Financial Edge, fund data can flow through Ovrture’s Open API or through structured Excel imports.
Once connected, your gift officers don’t need to re-enter donor information to build cultivation sites or stewardship reports. The platform pulls directly from the CRM, so content stays current as records update. Fund information is managed centrally within Ovrture: any update made to a fund cascades across every report that references it. When you’re producing thousands of reports in a single fiscal year cycle, that kind of centralized control matters.
There are no additional fees for using the Blackbaud CRM integration. Both are included with every Ovrture license.
Implementation Timeline
Ovrture’s standard implementation takes 12 weeks from contract signature to production launch. The process follows six phases: initiation and kickoff (week 1), system design and blueprint approval (weeks 2–4), coding and development (weeks 5–10), validation and testing (week 11), content population (week 12), and launch with user training.
The Blackbaud CRM integration is configured during the coding phase. Your Blackbaud administrator grants API access, and the Ovrture team maps constituent fields, gift tables, and custom attributes. Sync frequency is configurable (real-time, hourly, or daily) depending on your data workflow.
Single sign-on is configured at launch, so your users access Ovrture through a client’s existing authentication environment. Post-launch, Ovrture provides unlimited training and support, including strategic counsel on adoption and rollout across your advancement office.
Security and Compliance
Ovrture holds a SOC 2 Type 2 audited compliance attestation. Data is encrypted in transit with TLS 1.3 and at rest with AES-256. Authentication with Blackbaud uses OAuth 2.0 through the SKY API, with automated credential rotation every 90 days.
The platform runs on AWS infrastructure with redundant availability zones and maintains a 99.5% uptime SLA. Role-based access control, single sign-on (Okta, SAML, InCommon, ADFS, OneLogin), and multi-tenant architecture with complete data segregation come standard.
Ovrture also maintains a HECVAT, CAIQ, and Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan, all accessible through its security documentation gallery. If your institution requires additional review during the contracting phase, the Ovrture team provides architecture and security documentation proactively. They expect to be tested.
