The Big Reveal: Surveyor Changed Everything
Remember that cryptic tease from last year about revolutionizing how “story” is gathered and shared? On June 27, we launched Surveyor (officially the Survey Module)—our biggest platform enhancement since the 2023 rebuild.
Here’s what makes it game-changing: authentic voices from students, faculty, clinicians, and grateful patients now flow directly into your stewardship reports and cultivation materials. No more chasing down content. No more generic impact statements. Just real stories from real people, automatically integrated into your donor communications.
The response has been remarkable. Our clients are using Surveyor to solve three critical challenges that have plagued advancement offices for decades: capturing authentic beneficiary voices, eliminating the friction between content collection and report creation, and maintaining editorial control while scaling personalization. One advancement professional told us Surveyor alone justified their entire Ovrture investment—music to our ears.

While Surveyor grabbed the headlines, we quietly transformed Ovrture into the hub of your advancement technology ecosystem:
SOC 2 Type 2 Certified (February 2025): We didn’t just achieve certification—we built a culture of security. Our Drata-based Trust Center provides complete transparency, and our audited controls ensure your donor data remains protected at every step. This wasn’t just about checking a box; it was about earning and keeping your trust.
Doubling Down on CRM Integration: We delivered on our promise to break down data silos by deploying the following connectors:
- Salesforce Integration (July): Every donor interaction now automatically syncs—no manual entry, no missed touchpoints. Additionally, this will serve as the key foundation for connections to Affinaquest and Kindsight/Ascend.
- BrightVine Solutions Partnership (April): Direct Blackbaud CRM connection via DataLink at no additional cost to clients
AI Content Assistant (August): We brought artificial intelligence into your workflow without the risk. Through our partnership with Anthropic, we deliver intelligent proofreading and content generation with enterprise-grade security. Your data is never used for training, and everything is automatically deleted after 30 days. It’s AI that works for you, not on you.
Interactions Feature (April): We transformed one-way reports into two-way conversations. Donors can now provide feedback, answer questions, and engage directly through your sites and reports. Combined with Surveyor, this creates a complete feedback loop that strengthens every donor relationship.
Looking Ahead: The AI Revolution
Here’s where things get really exciting. While 2025 brought AI assistance to Ovrture, 2026 will bring AI transformation. We’re not talking about simple content suggestions—we’re building deep AI integration that will generate entire personalized sites, automate report customization, and shift your team from manual workflows to AI-powered processes with human oversight.
