Ready to dive deeper into the new Ovrture Survey functionality?
Watch this 10 minute overview of our biggest platform enhancement of 2025 and the most significant addition since our platform rebuild in 2023.
With the new Survey module, organizations can now collect real-time impact data and story content directly from the people who matter most: students, faculty, clinicians, and grateful patients. Even more, this content flows seamlessly into your stewardship reporting, transforming how teams approach both major donor fundraising and ongoing donor stewardship.

Hi, this is Remy from Ovrture, and I’m here today to give you an overview of our new Surveyor feature.
With the Surveyor feature, you can create and send surveys directly within Ovrture. These surveys allow you to collect real-time impact data from key stakeholders—such as students, faculty, clinicians, or grateful patients—and seamlessly integrate that data into your Ovrture stewardship reports.
In this video, I’ll give you a brief look at how the feature works, starting with an example.
Here you see an Ovrture survey from the perspective of the recipient. Like an Ovrture client report, this survey includes a custom greeting panel and your organization’s branded content. With the new impact survey panel, you can also mix in standard content panels and interactions to help tell the story behind the survey. But the impact survey panel is the star of the show—it’s what enables you to map responses directly into reports.
When a recipient clicks “Share Your Impact,” they’re taken to the survey to begin filling out their responses. Each question maps to a data field in the Fund Data section for any funds associated with the recipient. Some questions may collect general information that applies across all relevant funds, while others may pertain to specific funds. Once the recipient completes the survey, they submit their responses—which are then mapped into your reports.
On the user side of Ovrture, you’ll find a new module called Surveys under Sites & Reports. From here, you can create a new survey. In the “Create New Survey” screen, you’ll configure how questions map to data fields, designate which questions are mandatory or fund-specific, and add any question or qualifier text needed.
Once your survey is created, it will appear in your list of existing surveys. You can navigate to the Recipients menu to add survey recipients—either one at a time or in bulk using a spreadsheet uploader.
To distribute the survey, you have a few options:
-
Generate a magic link for individual recipients
-
Export a list of magic links
-
Or, use a common access link that allows recipients to enter their email and receive a personalized link automatically
After a recipient submits their survey, the status will change from In Progress to Under Review. At that point, you can view and edit their responses—correcting any typos or formatting issues as needed. When you’re satisfied, you can submit the response for approval, do one final check, and then approve it. The data is then pushed into the Report Data section, under the Impact tab of the associated fund.
We hope you’ve enjoyed this quick demo of the Surveyor feature! We’re really excited to roll this out—it’s a major upgrade to the platform, and we’re eager to hear your feedback as you begin using it.
